The Groma survey team is composed of ten surveyors who have accumulated a vast amount of experience working in various sectors of the transportation industry and in industrial sectors such as energy and manufacturing. We’ve completed hundreds of rail corridor and highway right-of-way projects for our clients throughout Ontario. Our surveying experience covers all manner of infrastructure including roads, track, switches, signals, bridges, retaining walls, drainage, watercourses and much more.
The Team
Groma Technical Services is led by principal Shawn Price, serving as a project manager, survey manager, and senior party chief responsible for all surveying in the Dundas office. With 25 years of field experience as a construction/engineering surveyor, Shawn has managed and completed many assignments for The Region of Peel, City of Mississauga, City of Brampton, the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, CN Rail, CP Rail, Metrolinx | GO Transit, VIA Rail Canada, the short-line railways (GEXR, OVR, SOR, OCR, OBRAG, TTR, and Trillium), and other clients in the Greater Toronto Area. Shawn’s experience includes working with state-of-the-art one-man robotic total-stations & various GPS equipment performing topographic surveying, construction layout surveys, and quantity calculations surveys. He has extensive experience working within railway corridors including track and road protection and railway radio communications.
