About The Project
Topographic survey of additional areas at Metrolinx’s Wilson Yard, as well as the USRC East corridor up to Lower Sherbourne.
Wilson Yard survey areas were completed first as per Hatch’s priority. Open areas were surveyed using Metrolinx flagging protection. Some survey areas required entry into City of Toronto or Gardiner Expressway Construction properties. Groma and Hatch arranged specific times to visit these sites for GPS surveys of ground points. Surveyors also picked up specific catchbasins and manholes required for storm and sanitary design in the Don Yard, including invert measurements.
The survey of the USRC corridor captured the south side of the property as well as bridge features. Flagging was used for all field work and access requirements.
For both parts of the project, the client received a survey points list, 2D/3D survey base plans and a final DTM of each site.
